In short
You can use Ainaa without an account, and if you do, we do not know who you are. We count what happens on the site so we can improve it, and we keep a short-lived note of your device's network address so a single visitor cannot consume the service's capacity.
Your messages are stored on our servers even as a guest, because the stylist has to be able to refer back to what you said. Conversations are removed automatically once they are no longer needed.
If you sign in, we also keep what we need to remember your taste, your bag and your saved looks. You can delete your account and its data from the account menu at any time. This page sets out what that removes, what we are required to keep, and what it cannot reach.
We do not record the screens of visitors who are not signed in. Session replay runs only for signed-in users, and anything you type is masked even then.
For how we protect all of this, see our Trust Center.
Who this applies to
This policy covers ainaa.ai and the Ainaa styling service. Ainaa is operated from India and intended for shoppers in India. It applies whether you browse as a guest or sign in.
What we collect
We collect three kinds of information: what you give us, what is produced as you use the service, and what we receive when you choose to sign in with an external account.
- What
- Your name, email address and profile picture
- Where it comes from
- The account you sign in with
- Why we have it
- To identify your account and address you by name
- What
- What you tell the stylist, including onboarding answers
- Where it comes from
- You, in conversation
- Why we have it
- So the recommendations suit you rather than an average shopper
- What
- Your conversations with the stylist
- Where it comes from
- The chat itself
- Why we have it
- So the stylist can follow what you have already said
- What
- What you view, like, dislike, hide and add to a bag
- Where it comes from
- Your interactions with product cards
- Why we have it
- To build the taste profile that ranks what you are shown
- What
- Images you upload for visual search or virtual try-on
- Where it comes from
- You
- Why we have it
- To find visually similar pieces, or to render the try-on
- What
- Delivery addresses you choose to save
- Where it comes from
- You, from the addresses page
- Why we have it
- So a brand's own checkout can be pre-filled instead of retyped
- What

- Where it comes from
- Automatically, as you use the site
- Why we have it
- To improve the service and to protect it from abuse

How we use it
To run the styling service and show you clothes worth your attention; to remember your taste between visits; to hand you over to a brand when you ask; to keep the service available and protect it from abuse; to understand which parts of the product work and which do not; and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share only what a given provider needs to do its job, and only for that purpose. We do not give any of them permission to use your information for their own ends.

Your choices
You can use Ainaa without an account at all. If you have one, you can see and correct your profile from the account menu, turn voice off, and steer what the stylist learns by liking, hiding, or asking for less of something.
You can delete your account and its data from the account menu. Deletion removes your profile, your taste signals, your conversations, your saved looks and your bag.
Three honest limits, because a deletion promise is worth nothing if it is broader than the thing that runs.
Purchases are not ours to delete.Ainaa never takes payment: you buy from the brand, on the brand's own site. Anything you bought is recorded by them, under their policy, and deleting your Ainaa account has no effect on it.
Deletion is best-effort. Each store of your data is cleared in turn, and if one of them cannot be reached at that moment the rest still proceed. We do not claim a single perfect sweep, because that is not what happens.
It does not reach into our analytics. Usage events and session replays are held by an independent analytics provider and are not removed by account deletion. If you want those removed as well, write to us at the address below and we will arrange it.
To ask a question about your data, or to have it deleted if you cannot reach the account menu, write to us at the address below.
How we protect it
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. We keep what we need and no more, which is the most effective protection available to us.
No service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. Our Trust Center describes our approach in more detail.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. Conversations are removed automatically once they are no longer useful to the stylist. Account information is kept while your account exists and is removed when you delete it. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Children
Ainaa is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Material changes will be brought to your attention in the product.
What this page is
This is a plain description of what Ainaa does with your information, written from the product itself. It is not a statement of compliance with any particular data-protection regime, and it is not legal advice. Where the law gives you rights over your data, this page does not narrow them.
